Integrated Behavioral Health

A research study began in 2016 at the University of Vermont department of Clinical and Translational Studies on the effectiveness of integrated versus co-located behavioral health in primary care practices. Funded by PCORI, this project is still ongoing and works with 44 primary care practices from around the USA. Bryan Research are one of the primary Practice Coaches for the project, responsible for coaching 8 practices.

The study has several components, but one which BR had significant input to is the standardized intervention. This is designed to provide a template for implementation of process improvements based on a LEAN framework and gathered from the results of a huge literature survey at the beginning of the project.
